10 Months into robotic grocery deliveries: Here’s how it’s been.

Staying in, working from home – it’s become the new norm. Feeding our desire for convenience and accessibility, delivery services have become a quintessential part of our lives, especially in this pandemic. So, we’re always on the lookout for more efficient ways to get our daily necessities.

In light of the current COVID-19 situation, contactless delivery is on the rise and we at Whizz are glad to be in partnership with Cates, a food aggregator that operates in various locations including NTU, to be able to do just that.

Since July 2020, we’ve been working alongside Cates, delivering meals, snacks and even groceries, within NTU. Nanyang Mart in particular, a grocery store located at North Hill (a hall in NTU), is especially active during the schooling semester when the halls are more densely populated and lugging around bulky bags of groceries is less than ideal. Since grocery bags are 400% larger than a bag of ordered food, it is fitting that our foodbot can easily accommodate groceries with its 120 litre capacity.

With the ability to deliver groceries to any of the 16 locations within NTU, Nanyang Mart rolls out orders everyday single day!
